Dr. Provenzano is on the Sutter Gould
board of directors and in practice as a family
practitioner for many years. Dr. Provenzano
gives us his view on the current legislation, which
he believes will ultimately end up as a government
run healthcare and insurance system. The
current government run system - Medicare - has
driven out all competition for healthcare insurance
for persons over 65. The payment system is 6
months to a year behind and would cause many doctors
into bankruptcy. It will also be cost
prohibitive for the country.
